Nissan e-NV200 Concept at Detroit Auto Show

The innovative Nissan e-NV200 Concept makes its world debut today at the 2012 North American Auto Show in Detroit.  Based on the popular Nissan NV200 multi-usage vehicle, which is available in Japan, Europe and China, the Nissan e-NV200 Concept previews a near-future production version of a full electric vehicle.  It is designed to provide businesses or families with flexible, roomy interior space, while achieving a dramatic CO2 footprint reduction. 

The Nissan e-NV200 Concept combines a driving range similar to the Nissan LEAF with payload and cargo space similar to the current NV200.  The production version would be targeted mainly at businesses, but also at private users or families in major regions. Continue reading…

2012 Model Year Upgrades for Audi A3

Audi confirmed three new production models for 2012, including the A8 hybrid that employs a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, the next generation of the A3, the 2013 A6 allroad quattro as well as the pure-electric R8 e-tron that will be built in a small series.

The 2013 Audi A3 will get fresh headlights, matching the company’s latest design theme with a line of LEDs along the top edge and a slightly scalloped bottom edge. The new A3 will also feature a larger mouth and grille fascia over the current model. Continue reading…

2012 Chevrolet Sonic Models Get Top Safety

The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic received a 5-star overall vehicle score for safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The vehicle was tested under NHTSA’s revised New Car Assessment Program implemented starting with the 2011 model year. The Sonic brings to 10 the number of General Motors 2012 models with 5-star overall vehicle scores for safety.

The overall rating is based on frontal and side crash tests in addition to rollover resistance testing. The three test conditions are combined mathematically into an “Overall Vehicle Score.”  Continue reading…

Ford B-Max Looking to Take 2012 By Storm

Throughout the world, car manufacturers lay claim to being the most popular, and while all of us have our own ideas about what makes a producer particularly well-loved, there are few who would argue against Ford. The company has made some of the best-selling vehicles of all time, and their familiar badge sits proudly on the front of millions of cars, Ford vans and trucks.
